Lucid Layers: Vague Reflections

"Lucid Layers, you say? Now, that’s a name I haven’t heard in quite some time. 

Do you think he’d recall it as well? It’s been quite a while, after all. 

Perhaps it’s time for another round, just the two of us, for old times' sake. What do you say?"

Lucid Layers: Vague Reflections is a game that's been sitting on my hard drive for the better part of a year now. Even though I'd call it unfinished, I simply can't bring myself to open the Unity project file for some reason. 

I was inspired to make a simple puzzle game akin to the likes of P.T. or other games of the sort. Looking back I suppose it wasn't my brightest idea. I can't think up an engaging puzzle for the life of me, which is why I suppose this game ended up without any.

The photos you see on the walls are pictures I'd taken about midway through high school. I suppose I wanted to bring a little bit of familiarity into this game, but once again I'm not entirely sure why. Could it be that this initially started out as some sort of dream recreation? I believe I stopped working on the game after the 3rd level, but then why did my friends tell me they enjoyed playing it all the way through?

I don't remember taking those pictures. Nor putting them in the game.

This game includes assets not made by me. Most models obtained through Sketchfab, most textures obtained through ambientCG.
